High Wind Warning
Issued: 9:17 PM MST Dec. 11, 2018 – National Weather Service

... High Wind Warning remains in effect until 5 am MST Wednesday...

* timing... west winds will continue to increase through this
evening and continue overnight.

* Winds... southwest 45 to 55 mph with gusts to 90 mph.

* Impacts... travellers across along The East Slope of the
Absaroka Mountains should be alert for very strong and
sometimes sudden wind gusts. Keep two hands on the wheel and
slow down if necessary. Secure all loose outdoor items.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A High Wind Warning means a hazardous high wind event is expected
or occurring. Sustained wind speeds of at least 40 mph or gusts
of 58 mph or more can lead to property damage.

above 75 mph along the Lee of the range.

* When... late this afternoon through Wednesday.

* Additional details... travel could be difficult. Areas of blowing
snow could significantly reduce visibility. Strong wind may pose
a blowover risk to high-profile lightweight vehicles.
