Flood Warning
Issued: 4:20 PM CDT May. 22, 2017 – National Weather Service

The Flood Warning continues for
the Mississippi River at Winona.
* From late tonight to Monday may 29... or until the warning is
cancelled.
* At 3:45 PM Monday the stage was 12.4 feet.
* Flood stage is 13.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... rise above flood stage by Tuesday morning and continue
to rise to near 13.9 feet Wednesday evening.
* Impact... at 13.0 feet... Prairie Island park begins to flood. Pumping
operations are underway by the city of Winona, and dike patrols are
started.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Mississippi River at Wabasha.
* Until further notice... or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 3:15 PM Monday the stage was 12.5 feet.
* Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and is forecast to continue.
* Forecast... the river will continue rising to near 12.9 feet
Tuesday.
* Impact... at 13.0 feet... the Railroad underpass on Highway 60 may be
flooded. Flooding is also possible along Lawrence Boulevard and
Main Street east. Some businesses near the river may be flooded.

the Trempealeau River at Dodge.
* Until late Wednesday night... or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 3:45 PM Monday the stage was 10.6 feet.
* Flood stage is 9.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring.
* Forecast... the river will continue to fall... dropping below flood
stage Wednesday morning.
* Impact... at 9.5 feet... the entrance Road to the Trempealeau National
Wildlife Refuge is flooded.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Chippewa river at Durand.
* Until Thursday evening.
* At 11:45 am Monday the stage was 15.2 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 13.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river will continue to fall to below flood stage by
Thursday morning.
* Impact... at 13.0 feet... the basements of businesses along the river
begin to flood.
* Impact... at 12.5 feet... River Street in downtown Durand begins to
flood.
