Flood Warning
Issued: 11:43 AM CDT Oct. 16, 2018 – National Weather Service

The Flood Warning continues for
the White Rock creek near White Rock creek at Greenville Ave.
* At 1115 am Tuesday the stage was 83.94 feet.
* Flood stage is 84 feet.
* Forecast... the river is expected to rise to near flood stage
Tuesday afternoon.
* Forecast... the river is expected to rise above flood stage by
Tuesday afternoon and crest near 84 feet by Tuesday afternoon. The
river should fall below flood stage by Tuesday afternoon.
* At 84 feet, minor flooding will occur near the creek. Bike paths
downstream of the gage will be flooded. Water approches Ball fields
at Emmett Conrad High School.

... Forecast flooding increased from minor to moderate severity...
the Flood Warning continues for
the Trinity River at Dallas.
* Until late Thursday night... or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 1000 am Tuesday the stage was 37.94 feet.
* Flood stage is 30.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will continue rising to a crest near 38 feet
by late Tuesday afternoon. The river should fall below flood stage
Thursday afternoon.
* At 38 feet, moderate flooding will begin along the river both above
and below the Commerce street bridge.

... Flood Watch remains in effect through this evening...

The Flood Watch continues for

* portions of north central Texas and northeast Texas, including
the following areas, in north central Texas, Bosque, Collin,
Comanche, Coryell, Dallas, Denton, Eastland, Ellis, Erath,
Hamilton, Hill, Hood, Hunt, Johnson, Kaufman, Lampasas,
McLennan, Mills, Navarro, Palo Pinto, Parker, Rockwall,
Somervell, Stephens, Tarrant, and wise. In northeast Texas,
Delta, Henderson, Hopkins, rains, and Van Zandt.

* Through this evening

* widespread rain will continue today which may lead to
additional flooding, mainly from the Comanche area through the
southern portions of the dfw metroplex into East Texas.

* Additional rainfall amounts in the Flood Watch area will average
between 1 and 3 inches with isolated 4-inch amounts possible.
