Flood Warning
Issued: 8:40 PM EST Feb. 20, 2019 – National Weather Service

The Flood Warning continues for
the great Pee Dee at Pee Dee.
* Until further notice.
* At 8:00 PM Wednesday the stage was 19.54 feet.
* Flood stage is 19.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will continue rising to near 21.9 feet by Monday evening.
Additional rises may be possible thereafter.
* Impact... at 23.0 feet... flooding will affect swamp and timberlands while also
disrupting logging operations. Operations will likely cease and equipment not
previously moved will remain trapped. Some farmland will have minor flooding
especially around Britton Neck.

Areas of fog have developed this evening with some locations
reporting visibilities at 1/2 mile or less. Fog is expected to
persist into the late evening and possibly overnight hours.
Motorists should be prepared for rapidly changing visibilities
this evening, especially if traveling in or near low lying areas.
Reduced visibilities will affect drivers in the region, including
parts of I-40, I-95, I-20, and I-74. Drivers are advised to use
extra caution this afternoon and evening and use low beam
headlights.
