Sensitive streams and creeks will also be susceptible to
flooding, especially in areas where convection enhances rainfall
rates. An isolated instance of flash flooding cannot be ruled
out. River flooding is also possible, especially on the Passaic,
Rockaway, North Branch Rancocas, and Millstone rivers, if the
axis of heaviest rainfall intersects these basins.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts.

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible
flood warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be
prepared to take action should flooding develop.
