... Winter Weather Advisory in effect from 5 am Wednesday to 1 am
* what... mixed precipitation expected. Total snow accumulations of
up to two inches, with the heaviest accumulations over the Saint
Lawrence valley and far northern Vermont. Locally higher amounts
possible. Ice accumulations of up to one tenth of an inch
expected, with the highest accumulations along and east of the
Green Mountains. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph.
* Where... portions of Central, Northeast, northwest and southern
Vermont and northern New York.
* When... from 5 am Wednesday to 1 am EST Thursday. Precipitation
will start early Wednesday morning in northern New York and
then move into Vermont by mid morning.
* Additional details... plan on slippery Road conditions. The
hazardous conditions could impact both the morning and evening
commutes on Wednesday.
A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow, sleet or
freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Expect slippery
roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.
