* Flood Warning for...
Bollinger County in southeastern Missouri...
Carter County in southeastern Missouri...
Perry County in southeastern Missouri...
northern Ripley County in southeastern Missouri...
Wayne County in southeastern Missouri...
northwestern Butler County in southeastern Missouri...
Cape Girardeau County in southeastern Missouri...

* until 830 am CST Sunday

* although rain has ended across most of southeast Missouri, creeks
and streams will remain out of their banks at least through
tonight. Low-lying flood-prone areas will remain inundated. Flood-
prone roads will likely remain covered with water through at
least early Sunday.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

The Flood Watch continues for

* all of southern Illinois, southwest Indiana, western Kentucky,
and southeast Missouri.

* Until 6 am CST Sunday

* widespread heavy rainfall Saturday evening has caused extensive
flooding across the region.

* Due to these heavy rains falling on already saturated ground,
flood waters will be very slow to recede.


Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts.

Heed all Flood Warning signs, and never cross a flooded roadway.
Turn around and don't drown! Remember it is harder to see rising
waters at night. Seek High Ground immediately if you encounter an
area with rising waters.
