... Winter Weather Advisory now in effect from 4 PM this afternoon
until 8 am EST Wednesday...

* what... snow, with some freezing rain along the I-69 corridor,
expected. Total snow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches expected
mainly along and north of the M-46 corridor, with 1 to 3 inches
expected along the I-69 corridor. Ice accumulations of up to
one tenth of an inch expected along the I-69 corridor.

* Where... Midland, Bay, Huron, Saginaw, Tuscola and Sanilac
counties.

* When... from 4 PM this afternoon to 8 am EST Wednesday.

* Additional details... plan on snow covered and slippery Road
conditions, along with reduced visibilities in falling snow.
Expect hazardous travel conditions during the Tuesday evening
and Wednesday morning commutes.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow, sleet or
freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Expect slippery
roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.

   this evening. This activity will become a bit heavier and more
   widespread during the next few hours with light accumulations
   expected in some locations.

Impacts...

* this wintry mix of precipitation will lead to slippery roads
   particularly on bridges, exit ramps and overpasses. Conditions
   will gradually worsen during the course of the evening.


Precautionary/preparedness actions...

* the combination of light snow and sleet will result in slick
   conditions this evening as temperatures remain generally in
   the 20s. Motorists are urged to use caution and account for the
   variable driving conditions by allowing extra time.
