with visibilities falling below one half mile at times.
Snowfall rates up to one inch per hour are possible.

roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.

northwestern Indiana...

A band of lake effect snow will develop late this evening and move
into northwestern Indiana overnight. Snow will continue through
around midday Thursday. Moderate snowfall is expected though may
become heavy at times reducing visibility to less than half a
mile. Snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches is expected and locally
higher amounts will be possible. Morning commuters near the lake
in Northwest Indiana should be prepared for hazardous driving
conditions.
