The National Weather Service in Grand Junction has issued a freeze
watch, which is in effect from late tonight through Saturday
morning. A freeze warning remains in effect until 9 am MDT.

* Locations include... Grand Junction, Fruita, Palisade, Montrose,
   Hotchkiss, and Delta.

* Temperatures... in the upper 20s to lower 30s.

* Timing... freezing temperatures are expected during the early
morning hours. Temperatures could reach freezing again tonight.

* Impacts... budding vegetation may be negatively impacted as
temperatures drop below critical thresholds. Small, exposed
water lines, such as those associated with swamp coolers,
could freeze up.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A freeze warning means sub-freezing temperatures are imminent or
highly likely. These conditions will kill crops and other
sensitive vegetation.

A freeze watch means sub-freezing temperatures are possible.
These conditions could kill crops and other sensitive vegetation.
