... Excessive heat warning remains in effect from 10 am Monday to
8 PM PDT Thursday...
* high temperatures... daytime high temperatures will range from
80-95 degrees at higher elevations to 96-106 degrees in the
foothills. The hottest days are expected Tuesday and
* Low temperatures... overnight low temperatures will offer
little reprieve from the heat, ranging from 70-80 degrees in
the foothills. Low temperatures at higher elevations will be
in the 50s and 60s.
* Impacts... increased potential for serious heat-related
illnesses, especially for the Young and elderly, those
performing outdoor activities, as well as those without access
to air conditioning. Increased potential for power outages.
Never, ever, leave people or pets in enclosed vehicles, even for
a short period of time.
Take extra precautions if you work or spend time outside. When
possible, reschedule strenuous activities to early morning or
evening. Know the signs and symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat
stroke. Wear light weight and loose fitting clothing when
possible and drink plenty of water.
