Flood Warning
Issued: 8:57 PM CST Feb. 24, 2018 – National Weather Service

The Flood Warning continues for
the Cache River near Patterson.
* Until further notice... or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 8:00 PM Saturday the stage was 12.0 feet.
* Major flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 9.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river will continue rising to near 12.5 feet by
Thursday... March 1st.
* Impacts at 12.0 feet... water near foundations of homes on Pine
street in Patterson. Cabins and camps along State Highway 14, 18,
and 33 flooded. State Highway 37 near Grubbs may be partially
flooded. Water may be on State Highway 33 between Gregory and
Little Dixie. Most unprotected farmlands flooded and some levees
overtopped. Agfc may close areas within the Brushy Creek wma, Earl
buss bayou DeView wma, and Whitehall wma for Deer hunting due to
flooding.
* Impacts at 12.5 feet... major problems in Grubbs, Patterson, Dixie,
and Amagon in Jackson and Woodruff counties. Woodruff County Road
775 flooded. State highways 18, 37, 33, and 38 affected in various
locations in Woodruff and Jackson counties. Many homes miles from
the main river channel may need to be protected by ring levees.

The Flood Warning continues for
the White River at Georgetown.
* From late tonight until further notice... or until the warning is
cancelled.
* At 8:00 PM Saturday the stage was 20.6 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 21.0 feet.
* Forecast... rise above flood stage by early Sunday and continue to
rise to near 23.0 feet by Thursday morning.
* Impacts at 21.0 feet... Hurricane Lake wildlife management area and
raft creek bottoms inundated. Roads in The Bottoms are flooded.
* Impacts at 22.0 feet... farm fields and farm roads on either side of
Highway 36 west of Georgetown inundated.
* Impacts at 23.0 feet... minor street flooding in Georgetown including
Heath Scott drive and Riverside street near the boat ramp.

The Flood Warning continues for
the White River at Augusta.
* Until further notice... or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 8:00 PM Saturday the stage was 31.2 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 26.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river will continue rising to near 32.5 feet by
Wednesday morning.
* Impacts at 30.0 feet... thousands of acres of farm ground flooded.
County roads on both sides of the river are flooded, including
County Road 871 and 899.
* Impacts at 32.0 feet... thousands of acres of cropland and farm roads
are flooded in white and Woodruff counties. Water is isolating
homes and camps along the river in white and Woodruff counties.
