... Series of storms to impact southcentral through the weekend...

A pattern change is expected for the remainder of this week,
bringing warm, windy, and wet weather. Several storms will lift
inland over southcentral beginning today (wednesday) and lasting
through the weekend. A significant warmup is expected with
temperatures rising above the freezing mark, with the warmest
temperatures arriving on Friday. Gusty south to southeasterly
winds are also expected region-wide and will be especially
enhanced through the usual gaps and passes, including Turnagain
Arm, Portage Valley, and the Anchorage hillside. Heavy coastal
precipitation is possible, including periods of rain at lower
elevations.
